Emergency Medicine Guidance for the Western Cape
From 2012, the Division of Emergency Medicine, with the assistance of many specialist role players across the whole spectrum of health, has been producing an ever growing booklet with guidelines applicable to the Emergency Medicine practice at all levels of care. These have been specifically tailored to the conditions encountered in the Western Cape, with all guidelines having locally applicable management and referral protocols. In spite of this, the addition of the App version of the guidelines in 2013 has resulted in the guidelines being used way beyond the borders of the Western Cape. The guidelines are constantly being revised, with the current edition being the EM Guidance 2013-R.
The new and improved 4th edition is now available online and in print.
We have also printed a paediatric only version of the guidelines available to purchase.
