Funding for resources that contribute indirectly to any of the above may also be considered. This includes payment for statistical services and CME courses. The funding is limited to R5 000 in one year, or R10 000 over two years per faculty member. Approval is subject to assessment by the academic ExCo and the availability of funds.
You are eligible if you are EMCT faculty employed by the University of Cape Town or Stellenbosch University as:
- Permanent academic staff
- Contract staff on academic conditions of service
- Joint academic staff, including registrars
- Honorary research associates or affiliates
- Honorary lecturers
This funding is awarded on a competitive basis and will take into account the following:
- The applicant’s research output over the last three years
- The applicant’s contribution to teaching and supervision within the Division
