The South African Triage Scale
Western Cape SATS provider and instructor training
The roll-out of Triage training to facilities in the Western Cape has been identified as a priority to ensure that all personnel working in emergency centres are competent to perform triage correctly. The Annual Operation Performance indicators for emergency centres include overall triage correctness of 80% for each facility. A triage training group has been established and one of the functions of the group will be to train instructors who will be able to continue training at the various facilities within the province. Dedicated provider training will not be offered by the Triage training group however we can direct you to training for providers offered at the various course centres. If you would like to enrol your facility for instructor training, please scroll down to complete the SATS instructor training application. We also offer free access to our triage training curriculum for any bona fide health care provider. Scroll down for details.
